There is something so 'authentic' about a hand painted portrait, that photographs alone simply can't capture. The classic portrait masters have been giving us beautifully painted portraits for hundreds of years, paintings that will still be around when we are long gone.
We would love to create a classic painted portrait for you or your family. A portrait that you'll be proud to display, and that will be passed on and cherished by your family for many many years.

What is the process?
We will discuss with you the style of image you have in mind, where you wish to hang and what print medium you prefer.
We take your ideas and we start by capturing the right photograph. This is best done at our studio in Bulimba, but we can come to your home if you have a setting there that you love.
We will take a range of photographs to get the perfect one for your painted portrait. We then expertly, digitally hand paint your chosen image, and print and finish ready for your walls.
For the photograph, we will advise you on wardrobe and styling and giving full direction on posing. We know how to achieve amazing results for all ages and body types to make sure that your base photograph is the very best it can possibly be.
Our studio is in Bulimba (8km from Brisbane CBD) and is private, quiet and heated/cooled for your comfort.

We will go through this on your pre-shoot consultation. We will also send information by email with your booking details.
Everyone is nervous! It is totally normal, but you will have a great time and when you see your gorgeous images, it will totally be worth it!
Our couples packages include professional hair and makeup to make sure that your experience is absolutely perfect. We have excellent award winning makeup artists available to us to make sure you look and feel your absolute best.
We will go through this on your phone call.
We will tell you how to pose and where to look, right down to how to place your fingers. All you have to do is to show up and have a heap of fun!
Although we would love to share your images with other couples just like you, we NEVER, EVER use images without written permission. We would only ever use them with your express permission and that is totally optional.
We are a husband & wife team and we work together on every session. Dean will take your photos and I (Karen) will help with your posing, styling and dressing. I will make sure that you do not have any costume malfunctions and that your hair & makeup is always perfect.
Many women worry about being in a session with a male but that disappears very fast as they see that we are all about their experience, and getting the very best results.
Be rest assured that we are both great with kids and are experienced with children with developmental issues.
We offer high resolution digital packages as well as folio boxes, prints, wall art and albums and you will receive the high resolution digital images with every print that you purchase.
We will go through the prices and options when you book your phone call.
We will discuss this on your pre-shoot phone consult so that you know exactly what to bring. We will also email information with your booking details once you book.
We offer interest free payment plans. Simply let us know the amount you wish to pay each week or fortnight from your credit or debit card. Terms can be up to 6 months. Once the amount has been paid off we will edit and process your images.
Our comfortable and private home based studio is in beautiful Bulimba, 8km from Brisbane CBD. We have free off street parking and flat access for disabled clients.
We do not have any children & no drop-in's so your session with us is completely private and quiet. Our beautiful fur-baby, Sammie the samoyed, will keep you company and make you feel like you are at home while she snores away in the corner of the studio.
Yes, you are most welcome to include some of our other styles of photography into your session and you can include other family members.
Your selected images will be edited and emailed to you within 10 days of your session. Your chosen painted portrait will take a further week and will be sent to you for approval before being printed. Artwork will follow within the next 2 weeks.

We are full time photographers located in beautiful Bulimba, inner south Brisbane, QLD. We love cycling, walking our fur baby Sammie, & spending time together.
We have been producing elegant and tasteful portraits since 2009, and we absolutely love what we do. We feel that we are so lucky to have found each other, and this path in our lives.
Our goal with every session is to craft images that will make our wonderful clients feel absolutely AMAZING. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a massive smile when a client sees their photos for the first time and to be part of a process that allows them to feel more positive and confident.
